We are huge fans and were DELIGHTED to see you in the new BBC series SHERLOCK.

Funny anecdote: I have the same initials as Sherlock Holmes and my brother's are the same as Mycroft's!

"We are huge fans" might not be the most original way to start a fan letter, but we are hoping that this letter paper has already lowered your expectations.

Sadly enough, my initials are not J.W. But I do enjoy your performance all the same.

We have been spending this weekend observing the behaviour of cats and watching the shiny new Sherlock DVD and we just happened to notice your awesome and catlike ability to float out of the chairs. Quite remarkable!

Yes, actually your gestures are all delightfully Sherlock -like, which gives us life long Holmes fans great pleasure. Also, the way you speak is remarkably in character! I am impressed by these all little details.

Not to mention that your skills are in no way limited to acting quite a variety of roles but you are also very handsome young man and have mastered the art of cooking. Perhaps one day we shall be granted the joy of owning a cookery book written by you?

If you do end up writting a book like that please make it as easy to follow as possible. I'm not very good at cooking you see, but I would be compelled to buy a book written by you.

But don't hesitate to add at least a couple of more challenging recipes for us more experienced chefs.

We might be getting a bit off -topic actually. Basically our motivation to write this letter was to simply let you know that we think you're amazing and that you bring sparkles and rainbows and stars to our lives with your brilliance. Or something along those lines.

The fact that people like you exist fills our hearts with hope for the future. We appreciate the work you do because you do it well enough to inspire other people simply by doing what you do. In fact, you do it better than "well enough", you do it marvellously! FGfgfghfghigfhkjrhk (<-- Damn, if I can avoid mistakes in the midst of all this passion!

You must excuse us, being cool and collected after watching such a masterpiece as BBC Sherlock is simply impossible! My copy of the DVD arrived to day and it has brought me and S.H. much joy.

We are looking forward to seeing you in many more movies/tv shows in the future, we will be following your career closely from now on. Thank you for the Sherlock, you will always remain a precious little life form in our hearts.
